Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the National Project Officer (Migration Management) in Panama and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator; the successful candidate will support IOM Panama's projects unit with the coordination and logistics for the distribution of NFI during the TCNA operation and others related activities.
Asistir en la implementación de los aspectos operativos, administrativos y financieros del proyecto de acuerdo con las políticas y prácticas de la OIM, así como con los requisitos del donante.
Mantener informado al supervisor sobre el estado de la implementación del proyecto; identificar brechas y sugerir acciones para mejorar su ejecución.
Gestionar las actividades operativas diarias del Punto de Artículos Esenciales, manteniendo su funcionamiento de acuerdo con los procedimientos e instrucciones establecidos.
Registrar, organizar y mantener el control de los NFIs asignados al punto, asegurando un manejo ordenado y actualizado.
Informar sobre toda necesidad que requiera apoyo logístico y asistir en la coordinación de las mismas.
Apoyar en los procesos logísticos que sean requeridos.
Realizar la entrega ordenada, oportuna y conforme a los procedimientos establecidos de los artículos esenciales y NFIs a la población beneficiaria.
Apoyar en las acciones logísticas que se requieran para el adecuado funcionamiento del punto y para la ejecución de actividades de asistencia humanitaria.
Elaborar reportes de distribución y reconciliación de inventarios.
Mantener el Punto de Artículos Esenciales en condiciones adecuadas de orden y limpieza, velando por la correcta disposición de los insumos y del espacio de trabajo.
Coordinar con el equipo de compras, administración y equipos de programa.
Preparar informes administrativos y la información estadística, según se requiera.
Realizar cualquier otra función que le sean asignadas.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- High school diploma with four years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related fields from an accredited institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook;
Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way;
Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things; and,
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills
In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in Spanish is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of English is desirable.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
