Global Process Owner - Institutional Planning & Budgeting
About the ICRC
Since 1863, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has worked to preserve human dignity and relieve suffering caused by war and armed violence.
In collaboration with our Red Cross and Red Crescent partners around the world, we do everything we can to deliver life-saving aid, reconnect families and locate missing people - helping those who need it most, regardless of who they are and what side of the front line they are on.
We engage with authorities and armed forces on all sides, often confidentially, pressing for access to detainees to improve their living conditions and urging compliance with international humanitarian law to protect non-combatants, including from digital threats.
Purpose of the Role
As Global Process Owner (GPO), you will lead the design, optimization, governance and implementation of the ICRC’s Institutional Planning & Budgeting process.
You will be an integral member of the End-to-End Transformation Program team, contributing to the transformation of relevant processes, systems and data flows over the next two to four years.
Your key objective is to connect the dots between the ICRC’s Institutional Strategy, operational needs and the underlying planning and budgeting processes. Throughout the redesign, you will need to strike a balance between a longer-term planning horizon (2 x 2 years) and short-term flexibility and agility, reflecting the operational reality of delegations. The goal is a simpler, more integrated planning process, supported by a streamlined architecture of systems, tools and data.
The role requires effective coordination between the Office of the Director-General (ODG) and key stakeholders, including but not limited to Operations, Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, Resource Mobilization, and Support & Digital Transformation.
In addition to your GPO responsibilities, you will play a key part in the Organizational Management & Planning team, supporting the preparation of analyses on topics such as strategic portfolio management, organizational design and others.
