Save the Children · Egypt · Deadline: 26 Oct 2026

Grade: Professional

TITLE: Youth Digital Learning Coordinator (Subject to Funding from Donor)

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Program Operations LOCATION: Cairo

GRADE: 5 TYPE OF CONTRACT: FTA, until the end of Dec. 2026

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g., once a week or more) or intensively (e.g., four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

Project Scope:
Youth in humanitarian settings face increasing and overlapping challenges, including disrupted education, psychosocial distress, and limited opportunities to support themselves and their families. Despite these vulnerabilities, young people are often overlooked in favour of younger children, leaving them at greater risk of resorting to harmful coping strategies.

This intervention aims to address this gap by supporting up to 35 Palestinian youth aged 18–21 through digital learning and structured engagement in freelancing pathways. The intervention will equip participants with relevant digital and employability skills while providing guidance and support to help them access freelancing opportunities and strengthen their livelihoods.

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Youth Digital Learning Coordinator will support the implementation of the intervention through participant selection and matching youth with suitable digital learning and freelancing tracks, with the technical support of the Digital and Freelancing Technical Consultant. The Coordinator will also mobilize existing digital labs and other community-based resources to provide young people with access to spaces, networks, and opportunities to apply and further develop their skills. In addition, the role will engage and mobilize relevant community actors, service providers, and potential partners to create pathways and continued support for youth to pursue their selected digital and freelancing tracks beyond the capacity-building phase.

The role will directly contribute to empowering young people to transition from programme participants to active and self-reliant members of their communities, with continued access to opportunities that can support their learning, income generation, and professional development.
